Community College Transfer Scholarship Application
The UH Cullen College of Engineering offers the “Excellence in Community College Preparation” scholarships to incoming transfer students. The scholarship recipient receives $2,000 per year, renewable up to three years, subject to acceptable academic performance. This scholarship is competitive and in general requires:
Completed 30 hours of college course work including Calculus II and Physics I
Cumulative GPA: 3.0, Math GPA: 3.0, Physics GPA: 3.0
Intend to pursue a BS in Engineering

Industrial Scholar Interns Program
The Industrial Scholar Interns Program (ISIP) through the Cullen College of Engineering offers a wonderful opportunity for undergraduate engineering students to obtain scholarship funding plus earn extra money and valuable work experience through an internship available to program participants during their junior and senior years. Participants receive $2,500 in scholarship funds each year for four years.
Application Deadline: March 1 (Other than incoming freshmen, all current engineering student applications may be filed at any time.)
The John Lienhard "Engines of our Ingenuity" Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any creative-thinking undergraduate student at the University of Houston. The scholarship recipient receives $2,000 for one year. To qualify, a student must be full-time (12 hours or more) with a 3.00 GPA or better.
