Annel 2

Description:

Annel2 is a Matlab Code for computing steady water surface profiles in circular, trapezoidal, rectangular and triangular channels in series. Gradually Varied Flows are solved by using the Standard Step Method. Hydraulic jumps are located using the momentum equation and an iterative approach. The  friction loss method is chosen by the program according to whether the flow is subcritical or supercritical.

Annel2 is a free program; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation. This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Features of Annel2

  • Locates hydraulic jumps
  • Handles any channel slope including horizontal and adverse.
  • Corrects hydrostatic pressure for large slopes (chutes)
