I am a Telecomm Analyst in the Network Planning and Development Group of Information Technology, department of CCTS, at the University of Houston. I didn't start out as a computer person. My first degree was a BS in Marine Science from Texas A&M at Galveston in '81. I went back for a BS in Computer Science from the University of Houston - Clear Lake in '86.

Recreation

I love to be near the water and it is usually true that if I am not cold and wet, I'm not having fun. I like to sail, wind surf, canoe, and many years ago I did a lot of surfing (but that was long ago). I love to fly fish whenever possible and I enjoy tying my own flies.

I am a volunteer senior staff member of NASCO (National Aquatic Safety Company). Our mission is to prevent the loss of life due to drowning. River Rescue information is here.

Here are some pictures.

I enjoy many other types of outdoor recreation some of which I have found have interesting Web pages. When I have time, these are a few of the recreational activities that I like to read about. Fly fishing is a passion of mine so I ckeck out the virtual flyshop. If that doesn't do it I can try a variety of outdoor activities in the Backcountry Home Page . More just plain Recreation and Hobbies. The World Wide Web of Sports can keep me up to date on all the major sport information.

Weather

I live on the Gulf coast near Galveston Texas and keep a close eye on the Atlantic and current hurricane development data via the Weather Underground. For weather information anywhere in the US or Canada, UM Weather home page has it. You can view local weather radar here in Houston

Here is a list of some WEB sites that I have saved as Current Bookmarks and previously saved Bookmarks. I search the WEB with WebCrawler.
